What is ForbesWineClub.com?
The Forbes Wine Club by Tasting Room is a personalized wine club that enables you to sample fine wines, discover what type of wine drinker you are, and get wines that suit your preferences — all at substantial savings. Our advanced personalization technology ensures that you always receive the perfect wine for your palate.

What is Forbes Wine Club’s relationship to Lot18?
In early 2013, Lot18 acquired some of the assets of Tasting Room – which is now a partner of Forbes, to power the wine club. Lot18 is the preeminent online seller of fine wines at attractive prices, and by joining forces Lot18 and Tasting Room are able to provide wine buyers with an unprecedented level of savings, service and selection. Who is the seller of the wine?
The mini bottle tasting kit is bottled and sold by a California winery. Each following shipment is sold to you by a local licensed party.

What are my wine samplers?
The wines in your mini bottles were specially chosen by our wine curators to represent a spectrum of flavors. Using our patented technology, we transfer wine directly from standard 750ml bottles into our mini bottles with no reduction in quality or flavor. Our transfer and testing process ensures the finest quality, making your samplers true representations of the original bottles of wine.

Why do you send wine samplers?
The six wine samplers allow you to taste a variety of wines and determine which you prefer — and which you should pass over. By rating them on our site, you enable us to create your personalized Wine Profile and make informed wine selections for you, so every bottle you receive from us is sure to please your palate.

What if I don't rate the wine samplers you send me?
If after 30 days from when you ordered your wine samplers you haven't rated them on our site, our wine curators will simply select a range of wines for your first wine shipment, and you can rate those wines after you receive them. You're not required to rate any of the wines we send you. But doing so enables us to create your Wine Profile and refine our selections according to your feedback.

What is my Wine Profile?
Your Wine Profile is a detailed explanation, in plain English, of the types of wines that match your taste preferences based on the feedback you provide when you rate your wine samplers. Upon rating your samplers, our algorithm generates a digital fingerprint of your preferences that indicates your personal profile. You’ll learn which wines are right for you and why, as well as the regions they come from and the foods with which they pair well.

How often will I receive wine shipments?
Thirty (30) days after you order your 6 wine samplers, we'll send your first wine shipment. Then, every three months, you'll receive another wine shipment at a low flat rate. There are no forms to fill out, phone calls to make or emails to send. The wine comes to you automatically, unless you call to cancel.

How do I know I’m getting the right wines for me?
With over 100 years of combined experience, our wine curators apply the most exacting standards to every bottle they taste. Our other staffers also taste the wines to share their opinions, resulting in less than one out of every ten bottles selected out of the hundreds of wines our experts evaluate from around the globe. Therefore, you get only the best bottles, vetted by our wine curators and selected by our personalization technology to match your Wine Profile.

Am I obligated to continue with Forbes Wine Club for any length of time?
No, you have the option to cancel at any time, and you will not be billed further once you cancel. There is no penalty for canceling. How long you stay with us is entirely up to you, and our policy is to comply promptly with any request to cancel.

Do I have the option to cancel at any time?
Yes, Forbes Wine Club has a hassle-free cancellation policy. You can cancel at any time, for any reason, simply by calling member services at 1-855-231-3839 or emailing us at service@forbeswineclub.com.

Who decides which wines are right for me?
You do – with expert guidance from our wine curators. By tasting and rating your wine samplers (and subsequent wine shipments), you let us know your preferences. Based on your ratings and the Wine Profile our system generates, our personalization technology automatically selects wines for you that will please your palate the most. Rating your wines gives you an active role in determining the selections the technology puts together for you. This personalization process selects wines that suit your tastes and eliminates the guesswork and confusion of wine shopping.

How can you offer such low prices on fine wine?
We live by a simple rule: To match you with the wine that suits your preferences and fits your budget. By working directly with wineries and vineyards around the world, we eliminate the middleman and pass along the savings to you.

What is your privacy policy?
For each registered member, we collect the member's shipping address, email address, IP address and other information. The information we collect is used to customize the content and/or layout of our page for each individual member and is used by us to contact members regarding their accounts. This information is not shared with other organizations or vendors for commercial purposes without the member's consent. How do I change my email preferences?
You can change your email preferences by clicking the link at the bottom of your Forbes Wine Club emails.

How do I change the name or email address tagged to my Forbes Wine Club account?
You can change your email preferences by going to the “Your Account” page on ForbesWineClub.com or by contacting member services at service@forbeswineclub.com.

What do I do if I forget my username or password?
Please click the "Forgot your password" button under the sign-in box and we'll email you with your password reset instructions.

If I have a Lot18 account, how does it affect my Forbes Wine Club account?
Not at all. If, for example, you change your email address or password for one account it does not affect the other.

If I don’t have a Lot18 account, how do I get one?
When you sign up for the Forbes Wine Club, a Lot18 account will be automatically created for you with the same credentials if you do not uncheck the box at signup. Membership in Lot18 is complimentary and enables you to take full advantage of the many money-saving offers and exclusives on Lot18.com.

On Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards, the three-digit CVV number is printed on the signature panel on the back of the card immediately after the card's account number. On American Express cards, the four-digit CVV number is printed on the front of the card above the card account number.

How long does it typically take for orders to ship?
Wine orders typically ship via UPS or FedEx Ground within two to three days and will be delivered within two to 10 days, depending on your location.

When will my wine samplers arrive?
Your wine samplers will arrive within 3-8 business days.

Can I have a product shipped internationally?
At this time, Forbes Wine Club's vendors can ship products only within the continental United States.

Should I ship to my home or work address?
We strongly recommend that you use a business address whenever possible when shipping wine, as someone 21 or older must be available to sign for the shipment. Our vendors cannot ship to P.O. boxes.

To which states does Forbes Wine Club ship?
We ship to the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Can I have an order shipped to a P.O. Box?
Unfortunately, our vendors cannot ship to P.O. boxes at this time.

Are shipments insured?
Forbes Wine Club does not offer members the ability to purchase insurance on shipments at this time. If you receive a broken bottle or otherwise damaged order, please contact service@forbeswineclub.com. Please take a photo of any broken or damaged products, as this may be required for us to file a claim with the carrier.

What is the status of my order?
Wine orders will typically ship via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground within two to three days of purchase and will take anywhere from two to 10 days to arrive depending on the product's origin and destination. Golden State Overnight (GSO) will be used where available. Please remember that someone 21 or older must be available to sign for shipments containing wine.

Can I track my order?
Yes. On the Your Shipments page you can view your order history and view the tracking number once it's provided by the carrier. Please remember that someone 21 or older must be available to sign for shipments containing wine.
